UK Biobank is a national and international health resource open to all health researchers. It aims to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of serious and life-threatening illnesses, including cancer, heart diseases, and depression by supporting research and making it accessible.
Challenge
UK Biobank was unable to bring together all parties for their annual general scientific conference due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The team needed to discuss the institution’s critical research, and while they were keen to host it virtually, they had limited experience in virtual events hosting – especially given the conference’s usual scale and reach.
